How do I start?
The first step is to book a free consultation to discuss your concerns and evaluate your suitability for procedure. There is no discomfort during the process, and you will remain fully clothed.
What is a session like?
Every session begins with the lowest intensity level and rises slowly. You will hear a buzzing sound from the cycling of the magnets in the chair. While seated, clients will feel a slight vibration and will experience the pelvic floor muscles contracting. You may also see the muscles in your thighs contract or twitch. Sometimes, your muscles might feel delicate or exhausted afterwards, however, only briefly.
How many sessions are required?
Generally, clients will want between 8-12 sessions that are 45-minutes in length. (We also offer 22-minute options for those who prefer shorter sessions or are managing time and budget constraints, allowing for more frequent visits if desired.)Others may need to repeat the steps again periodically to maintain muscle control. The number of sessions will depend on the stage you are beginning and where you want to end. A typical plan would contain sessions two to three times a week with at least one rest day in between. You can complete the program in as little as 2-1/2 weeks!
When should I expect to see results?
Results will vary from client to client; symptoms of urgency are often reduced after the 3rd or 4th session. Improvement in stress incontinence is may be seen by the 8th session, and in most cases, a client will see improvements by the completion of the 45-minute course of 8 - 12 sessions, depending on their starting point.
Can you use a pelvic floor chair if you're pregnant?
No, you should not use the chair during pregnancy due to the possible risk of miscarriage and potential damage to the developing foetus. Although Kegel exercises may not be as effective as the pelvic floor chair, you can do pelvic floor exercises while pregnant and we advise you speak to your doctor first. Additionally, there is a list of certain medical conditions that prevent some individuals from using our service - please contact us to see if the chair is right for you.
